Following the Service

1. Following the service it will be necessary for someone to remain to care for the flowers, register book and general "pick-up" of the facility. Most churches expect the sanctuary to be restored to the condition it was in prior to the service.

2. You may want floral pieces to be delivered to places of special meaning, such as the family residence, nursing home or cemetery. Someone should be designated to attend to this detail.

3. You will need to return all items that were either rented or borrowed for use during the service.

4. Appropriate acknowledgments should be made to the participants and others who supported you through food, memorial gifts, flowers, etc. The Cremation Society of Connecticut has a selection of acknowledgment cards available for this purpose.
